Il progetto X_Science: Cinema tra Scienza e Fantascienza nasce dall’impegno comune della Facoltà di Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e Naturali dell’Università di Genova e del GENOVA FILM FESTIVAL. X_Science raccoglie in sé, quindi, una duplice anima scientifica ed artistica votata alla valorizzazione della cultura scientifica attraverso il cinema e alla promozione delle arti visive focalizzate sulla fantascienza.

The X_Science project: Cinema from Science to Science Fiction has come about due to the common commitment of the Mathematical, Physical and Natural (M.P.N.) Sciences faculty of the University of Genoa and of the GENOVA FILM FESTIVAL. So, X_Science has both a scientific and an artistic heart aimed at enhancing the value of scientific culture through the cinema and by promoting visual arts focussed on science fiction.

I VINCITORI DI X_SCIENCE
 

La giuria della terza edizione di X_Science composta da Sasha Carnevali, Teo Mora, Julio Perillán, Giovanni Robbiano e Piotr Swiątek ha assegnato le seguenti menzioni spciali:

Tenuto conto del panorama espressivo del genere fantascientifico, la giuria propone una menzione speciale per i seguenti film:

Mimikry di Jean-Baptiste Chuat
The lab di Mariano Fiocco
Resistanz di Maxi Dejoie
The Un-gone di Simon Bovey

in quanto rappresentano, sotto diversi aspetti, opere di grande valore tra quelle selezionate per la terza edizione di X_Science: Cinema tra Scienza e Fantascienza

mentre assegna il

PRIMO PREMIO del Concorso Internazionale per Cortometraggi a

A Baba n°639 di Andras Gyorgy Desi, Gabor Moray

con la seguente motivazione:

 "Oscillando tra utopia e distopia questo film, utilizzando il linguaggio dello stereotipo di un futuro in cui la tecnologia va oltre le relazioni umane, affronta in modo critico e originale tematiche di scienza e fantascienza e raccoglie visioni di un possibile futuro."

Il vincitore de il Premio del Pubblico è El Gran Zambini di  Igor Legarreta e Emilio Pérez

In the manifold of expressive ways which characterize the science fiction genre, the Jury awards special mention to the following films:

The lab by Mariano Fiocco
Resistanz by Maxi Dejoie
The Un-gone by Simon Bovey


These films represent, for many aspects, highly valuable works amongst those selected for the third edition of X_Science: Cinema from Science to Science Fiction.

The first prize of the X_Science short films competition was assigned to

A Baba n°639 by Andras Gyorgy Desi, Gabor Moray

because:

"Waving between utopia and dystopia, using the language of a stereotypical future where technology has gone over human relationships, this movie faces in a critical and original way the themes of science and science fiction collecting visions of a possible future."

The winner of the Audience Award is El Gran Zambini by Igor Legarreta and Emilio Pérez
