produttore Esecutivo
Orgogliosa di essere romana ma cresciuta con un’educazione
di respiro internazionale, Gioia Avvantaggiato ha lavorato
nel mondo della televisione per più di 25 anni, durante i
quali ha avuto la possibilità di esplorare ogni ambito del
settore. Può contare su una vasta esperienza come Vice
presidente Senior del settore Vendite internazionali e
Co-produzioni per la società di distribuzione internazionale
della RAI, per la quale ha lavorato dal 1980 al 1989.
Nel 1990 ha fondato la GA&A, società indipendente con base
in Italia che occupa un ruolo di punta nel settore
dell’industria televisiva e che si dedica alla produzione,
acquisizione e distribuzione internazionale di programmi
televisivi di qualità, coprendo tutti i generi: dalla natura
al sociale, dalla scienza fino ai documentari di creazione.

A proud Roman but with an international upbringing, Gioia
Avvantaggiato has been in the television world for over 25
years. During this time she managed to get an almost full
circle experience in the business. She can rely on her vast
experience as Senior VP of International Sales and Co-
Productions for RAI’s International Distribution sister
company, in which she served from 1980 until 1989.
In 1990, Avvantaggiato created GA&A that is now a leading
Italian-based independent television company dedicated to
the production, domestic acquisition and international
distribution of high quality non-fiction programming,
covering all genres, from wildlife to social, from science
to author-driven films. |

ANTHONY VITO GERAMITA
Ordinario di Geometria presso la Facolta' di
Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e Naturali dell' Universita' di
Genova e Full Professor presso la Queen's University di
Kingston, Ontario Canada. Nato a New York nel 1942, laureato
presso il City College of New York, dottorato di ricerca
presso la Syracuse University nel 1968.
E' stato Professore visitatore in piu' di 50 Università in
Europa, Stati Uniti, Canada ed Asia tra i quali l'Institute
for Advanced Study a Princeton. I suoi interessi di ricerca
coprono diversi settori dell' algebra e della geometria. E'
autore di una guida turistica di Genova in inglese. Per
rilassarsi ama leggere libri fantasy. |
ANTHONY VITO GERAMITA
is a Full Professor of Geometry in the Faculty of
Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences of the
University of Genoa and also a Full Professor of Mathematics
at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario (Canada). He was
born in New York City in 1942 and received his Bachelor's
Degree at the City College of New York and his PhD at
Syracuse University in 1968.
He has been visiting Professor at over 50 Universities in
Europe, the United States and Canada and also Visiting
Scientist at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton.
His research interests cover various sectors of Algebra and
Geometry. He has also written (in collaboration with his
Genoese friend, Renato Fenoglio) an English language guide
book to Medieval Genoa. For relaxation he loves to read
Fantasy novels. |

LAURA GINATTA
laureata in Lingue e letterature straniere, con indirizzo
storia del cinema, presso lo I.U.L.M. di Milano; laureata in
Scienze e tecniche psicologiche presso l'Università
Cattoliica del Sacro Cuore di Milano; laureanda, presso la
medesima università, in Psicologia dello Sviluppo e della
Comunicazione.
Ha lavorato per diversi anni presso RADIO DEEJAY, per poi
diventare assistente alla direzione artistica presso
l'agenzia TRIDENT, leader nel settore organizzazione
concerti e produzione programmi televisivi. In questo ruolo
ha partecipato alla realizzazione di programmi come SUPER,
NIGHT EXPRESS, P.I.M., ITALIAN MUSIC AWARDS, GRAN GALA'
dello SPORT, e vari altri. Da free lance, ha lavorato come
assistente alla produzione e autrice delle interviste per
ACCESS ALL AREAS, programma prodotto da BIG APPLE per LA7;
come assistente di produzione per VIVACI PER TALENTI,
spettacolo benefico svoltosi alla Scala di Milano; come
gestione artisti e assistente di produzione per il Festival
di Rifondazione Comunista del 2006, il Tour di Radio
Montecarlo del 2005, il tour di Coca Cola per la Fiamma
Olimpica - Torino; come organizzazione e assistente di
produzione persvariati concerti, tra cui MONZA ROCK
FESTIVAL, Concerto per la Giornata Mondiale contro l'AIDS a
Roma, e vari altri.
Nel novembre 2009 ha pubblicato Il futuro è già passato. La
fantascienza da Blade Runner a Matrix, edizioni LeMani.

LAURA GINATTA
Graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures - Milan,
I.U.L.M.; Bachelos’s Degree in Psychological Science and
Techniques - Milan, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore;
currently attending the same university undertaking her
Master Degree in Psychology of the Development and
Communication.
She starts her working experience in one of the most famous
radio in Italy, RADIO DEEJAY, for then moving onto the
artistic direction of the agency TRIDENT where she worked as
an assistant. TRIDENT is a leading agency in the field of
organization of concerts and the production of television
programs. In her role as an assistant she undertakes a long
term collaboration going through different programs such as
SUPER, NIGHT EXPRESS, P.I.M., ITALIAN MUSIC AWARDS, GRAN
GALA' dello SPORT, and many others. It's at this point that
Laura goes solo and as a freelance she takes part to
different projects:
- associate producer and interviewer of ACCESS ALL AREAS, a
tv show produced by BIG APPLE for LA7;
- associate producer for VIVACI PER TALENTI, a charity gala
held at the Scala theatre of Milan;
- associate producer and artists manager for the
Rifondazione Comunista festival 2006, for the Radio
Montecarlo Summer Tour 2005 and the Coca Cola Tour - Olympic
Winter Games, Turin 2006;
- associate producer and organization manager for various
concerts such as Monza Rock Festival, World day AIDS concert
- Rome, and many others.
In November 2009 was released her first book, Il futuro é
già passato. La fantascienza da Blade Runner a Matrix
(Future is already Past. Science Fiction movies from Blade
Runner to The Matrix) published by LeMani.

ENZA NEGRONI,
Bologna, 1962. Ha debuttato con alcuni
cortometraggi scritti da lei, girati in Vhs e in 16mm. Assistente
alla regia di Pupi Avati per Impiegati nei primi anni Ottanta, si
è occupata di casting e location per clip girati a Bologna. Poi una
collaborazione di un anno con la Bbc per filmati sulla resistenza.
Ha lavorato a Londra con giovani registi inglesi per Channel 4
realizzando clip, video musicali, pubblicità. Con Renato De Maria
(altro giovane regista) ha aperto a Bologna la casa di produzione
Monocrome che ha realizzato vari lavori fra i quali le sigle di
Avanzi ed ha prodotto il primo lungometraggio di De Maria Il
trasloco sui movimenti studenteschi degli anni '70. Insieme hanno
aperto anche una scuola di cinema nel quartiere del Pilastro, nella
periferia bolognese, che ha coinvolto un centinaio di ragazzi. Nel
1996 ha debuttato nel lungometraggio con Jack Frusciante è uscito
dal gruppo tratto dal best seller omonimo di Enrico Brizzi che
ha vinto numerosi premi e riconoscimenti.
Ha realizzato sigle, documentari, reportage e cortometraggi per
canali satellitari, fra cui R prodotto da Movie Movie per Telepiù
e LegaAmbiente. Per Bologna 2000, città europea della cultura, ha
diretto il lab. cinematografico " Shooting your area-Doppia visione"
con gli universitari e gruppi ultrà di calcio e basket realizzando
"Carica ragazzi" e Quanti Siamo quelli che siamo, mediometraggi di
fiction. Nel 2002 per il Comune di Bologna e il progetto giovani
crea e realizza i "Lab. Sperimentali Audiovisivi" di cui ha diretto
il Lab. di Fiction. Co-sceneggiatrice e regista nel 2003 del
mediometraggio Echi di sera, su Louis Braille, prodotto dall' Ass.
Culturale Sequence e dalla Fondazione Carisbo. Dirige per
Feltrinelli il dvd Viaggio intorno a Thelonius Monk con Stefano
Benni e Umbetro Petrin. Realizza tra il 2004 e il 2006 5 spot sulla
Sicurezza Stradale per la Provincia di Bologna. Nel 2005 dirige il
documentario Il sapore del biologico. Del 2005 è la regia del
documentario Le acque dell'anima - in viaggio con Bjorn Larrson nei
paesaggi emiliani, prodotto da Movie Movie per RAI Educational. |
ENZA NEGRONI,
Bologna, Italy 1962. She made her début with some short
films shot in Vhs and 16mm. She was assistant to the
director Pupi Avati for the film Impiegati (Clerks) in the
early ‘80s and she dealt with casting and locations for
videos shot in Bologna. She also collaborated with the BBC
for films about the Resistance movement and worked in London
for Channel 4 with some young British directors shooting
videos, clips and advertisements. She created the Monocrome
production company with the young director Renato de Maria;
among her works is the theme of the Italian TV show Avanzi
and the production of the first full-length film by De Maria
Il trasloco (The removal) about the student movements of the
‘70s. Together they opened an actor’s studio in the Pilastro
area, situated in the Bolognese suburbs, which involved
about one hundred young people. In 1996 she made her first
film, Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo (Jack Frusciante
has left the band) based on the homonymous prize-winning
novel by Enrico Brizzi.
She has directed TV themes, documentaries, reports and short
films for satellite channels, such as R, produced by Movie
Movie for Telepiù and Legambiente. For Bologna 2000 –
European city of culture she directed the cinema lab
“Shooting your area-Doppia visione” with football and basket
hooligans and university students and shot the medium-length
films Carica ragazzi e Quanti Siamo quelli che siamo. In
2002 she created and produced the “Experimental audiovisual
Labs” for the Municipality of Bologna and directed the
Fiction Lab. In 2003, she was co-scriptwriter and director
of the medium-length film Echi di sera (Echoes at night)
about Louis Braille, produced by Ass. Culturale Sequence and
Fondazione Carisbo. For Feltrinelli she directed the DVD
Viaggio intorno a Thelonious Monk (A trip around Thelonious
Monk) with Stefano Benni and Umbetro Petrin. Between 2004
and 2006 she directed five road safety advertisements for
the Province of Bologna In 2005 she directed the documentary
Il sapore del biologico (The taste of organic food) and Le
acque dell'anima - in viaggio con Bjorn Larrson nei paesaggi
emiliani (The water of soul – a trip with Bjorn Larrson to
the Emilian landscapes), produced by Movie Movie for RAI
Educational.

KARLHEINZ STEINMULLER
Karlheinz Steinmüller è direttore scientifico nonché uno dei
fondatori di Z_punkt GmbH – The Foresight Company, società
con sede a Colonia e Berlino (www.z-punkt.de). È a capo di
progetti che si occupano degli studi sul futuro per grandi
società e pubbliche amministrazioni (Commissione Europea,
ministeri etc.) prevalentemente tedesche. I suoi ambiti di
competenza includono: innovazioni nelle imprese e nella
società, technological foresight (previsione strutturata
degli sviluppi e dei bisogni tecnologici), valutazioni sulla
tecnologia, sviluppo dello scenario e wild cards (eventi
rari e di grande impatto). Inoltre, ha effettuato ricerche
sulla storia e la metodologia delle previsioni.
Steinmüller ha pubblicato diversi libri sui Future Studies
(studi sul futuro) e numerose ricerche e articoli su argomenti
di varia natura come la metodologia dei Future Studies, la
storia controfattuale, i Future Studies e la fantascienza,
le prospettive del cyberspazio etc. Inoltre, ha una vasta
esperienza come relatore. È membro del Collège Eu-ropéen de
Prospective Territoriale e dei Comitati programmatici della
Conferenza Europea sul Futuro di Lucerna e di
forward2business-Zukunftskonferenz
Background
Dal 1991 al 2001 Steinmüller è stato ricercatore e Project
Manager presso il segretariato per i Future Studies di
Gelsenkirchen e si è occupato dei fondamenti metodologici
dei Future Studies, oltre allo studio degli scenari per la
Russia e gli sviluppi futuri della società
dell’informazione. Dal 1982 al 1990 Steinmüller è stato
scrittore freelance ed ha pubblicato insieme alla moglie
Angela tre libri di fantascienza, numerosi racconti, saggi e
drammi per la radio. La coppia ha vinto diversi premi
letterari in ambito nazionale ed europeo. Dal 1977 al 1982
Steinmüller ha lavorato su modelli matematici, simulazioni
al computer e controllo degli ecosistemi presso l’Accademia
delle Scienze della Germania dell’est (Istituto di
Cibernetica e di Processi dell’Informazione). Steinmüller,
nato nel 1950 a Klingenthal nella ex Germania dell’Est, nel
1973 si è laureato in fisica teoretica degli stati solidi e
nel 1976 ha ottenuto il dottorato di ricerca con una tesi
filosofica sugli approccio riduzionista nella biologia (“Machine
Theory of Life”)
Angela and Karlheinz Steinmüller hanno pubblicato altri
libri – tutti in lingua tedesca – fra cui “Wild Cards.
Quando accade l’improbabile” (2004) “Il futuro delle
tecnologie” (2006) e una biografia su Charles Darwin (2008).
Una nuova edizione di tutte le opere di fantascienza della
coppia è in fase di pubblicazione; i primi cinque volumi
sono già in vendita.

KARLHEINZ STEINMULLER
Karlheinz Steinmüller is scientific director and founding
partner of “Z_punkt GmbH – The Foresight Company” at Cologne
and Berlin (www.z-punkt.de). As project manager he is
engaged in futures studies for large, mostly German,
enterprises and public administrations (European Commission,
ministries …). His special fields of expertise include
innovations in companies and society, technological
foresight and technology assessment, scenario de-velopment
and wild cards. He has also done research into the history
and methodology of foresight.
Steinmüller has published several books on futures studies
and many research reports as well as papers on quite
different topics like futures studies methodology,
counterfactual history, futures studies and science fiction,
prospects of the cyberspace etc. Besides that, Steinmüller
has much experience as keynote speaker. He is member of the
Collège Eu-ropéen de Prospective Territoriale and the
Program Committees of the European Futurist Conference
Lucerne and the forward2business-Zukunftskonferenz.
Background
As researcher and project manager at the Secretariat for
Futures Studies at Gelsenkirchen, Steinmüller did from 1991
till 2001 research on methodological foundations of futures
stu-dies and worked on scenarios for Russia and future
developments of the information socie-ty. From 1982 to 1990
Steinmüller was free-lance writer and published together
with his wife Angela Steinmüller three science fiction
novels, lots of stories, some radio plays and essays. A. and
K. Steinmüller are winners of several national and European
literary awards. From 1977 to 1982, Steinmüller was engaged
in mathematical modelling, computer simu-lation, and control
of ecosystems at the East German Academy of Sciences (Institute
for Cybernetics and Information Processes). Steinmüller,
born in 1950 at Klingenthal/East Germany, studied physics
(diploma on theo-retical solid state physics in 1973) and
obtained the PhD in 1976 for a philosophical thesis on
reductionist approaches in biology (“Machine Theory of
Life”).
Recent non-fiction books of the Steinmüllers (all only in
German language) include Wild Cards. When the Improbable
Happens (2004), The Future of Technologies (2006), and a
biography of Charles Darwin (2008). A new edition of all
science fiction writings of the Steinmüllers is under
preparation; the first five volumes have already appeared.
