con questa motivazione: “Un film molto elegante con immagini di
grande effetto e una trama avvincente. Tratta di un soggetto che è
contemporaneamente attuale e inquietante, esplorando l’uso della tecnologia
da parte delle autorità che credono nella propaganda e nella psicologia
della paura. Performance forti, azioni ben piazzate e l’obiettivo di
stimolare molti dibattiti riguardo la scienza della nostra società fanno di
questo film il vincitore di X_Science 2011.”
La giuria, considerata l’alta qualità dei film selezionati, ha anche
deciso di assegnare quattro menzioni speciali: a

breve lasso di tempo e con un’eccellente recitazione fa di questo film il
vincitore del premio X_Faculty / Euroscience Award”

The Official Judging Panel assigned the Best
Movie Award to
Das Leuchten by Krystof Zlatnik
"A highly polished
film with impressive visual and a gripping story. It addresses topics that
are both timely and unnerving, exploring the use of technology by those in
authority trust in technology, propaganda and the psychology of fear.
Strong performances, well-placed action and scope to kick-start many
discussions about our society science make this the X_science 2011 winner."
The Judging Panel also decided
to assign four special awards to

and with excellent acting makes it a winner of X_Faculty / Euroscience Award.”

Il progetto X_Science: Cinema
tra Scienza e Fantascienza nasce dall’impegno comune della Facoltà di Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e
Naturali dell’Università di Genova e del GENOVA FILM FESTIVAL.
X_Science raccoglie in sé, quindi, una duplice anima scientifica ed artistica
votata alla valorizzazione della cultura scientifica attraverso il cinema e
alla promozione delle arti visive focalizzate sulla fantascienza.

The X_Science project:
Cinema from Science to Science Fiction has come about due to the common commitment
of the Mathematical, Physical and
Natural (M.P.N.) Sciences faculty of the University of Genoa and of
the GENOVA FILM FESTIVAL.
So, X_Science has both a scientific and an artistic heart aimed at enhancing
the value of scientific culture through the cinema and by promoting visual
arts focussed on science fiction.
